Visions

My family has a very unusual and beautiful gift: the gift of true sight. It runs only in the female line and is passed on from mother to daughter. My mother had it and my grandmother before her. My sister had it too, but she said she lost it when she didn't honour the Goddess. For years I was searching for answers to where exactly this gift came from, with not much success -- until recently the Goddess revealed to me that my family is descended from an ancient Goddess line.

The gift of true sight is not an easy gift to have, because when not fully understood or appreciated it turns negative and shows only frightening and negative events. When the gifts of the Goddess are rejected because of religious conditioning, they become tainted and manifest in a negative way. That happened to my grandmother, a kind-hearted, generous woman, who blindly followed Catholic faith yet became earth-bound after her death (read more about earth-bound spirits on my Middle World Page) I had to sort her out shamanically after her death. It wasn't easy but she is at peace now.

Both my grandmother and my mother predicted my sister's car accident on the day that it happened. My grandmother even mentioned my sister breaking her neck -- and she did break two cervical vertebrae and one thoracic vertebra. My mother had told my sister not to drive with that friend because she "didn't want to have a cripple in her family". My sister went anyway, not heeding my mother's warning and had a serious car accident. Fortunately her spine could be mended and she has no disability now.

As far as I know my grandmother never predicted anything positive with her gift, only negative events. Her predictions usually began by "you mark my words..." or "you'll see the day when..." followed by a negative forecast which unfortunately always came true.

At first I too had problems understanding and handling my gift, which at times seemed like a curse, for I always knew when somebody was going to die or when something bad was about to happen. However, that premonition got me out of harm's way on several occasions. As I started to work with the Goddess, my gift expanded and I began to see the true beauty of it. I have always had very colourful and magickal dreams. Since working with the Goddess these dreams have become even more intense. Most of my dreams are mystical, and some are what I call "great dreams". These come from a higher source and show me things I couldn't possibly know. Sometimes the Goddess speaks to me in my dreams. I often dream true and see future events. When I need guidance I pray to the Goddess and she will usually answer in a dream within a night or two.

The gift of sight works by knowing, which is direct knowledge coming from the Divine, as well as by "seeing" (having visions). My visions started in puberty and have been with me ever since. In my teenage years I was often very frightened by them as I seemed to have no control over the scary things that showed up in my home uninvited. As I faced my fears and released religious conditioning I could handle them better. Over the years my visions matured and now they are a great source of inspiration and knowledge to me. I am no longer afraid but treasure them.

The way I receive visions differs. Some happen spontaneously, any time of the day or night, when I am relaxed. When I need guidance I pray for a vision and scry (look into a pool of water, etc). Other visions come as prophetic dreams. Some of my most powerful visions happen when I am working with magickal power plants and sacred medicine plants, such as Ayahuasca.

Here on this page I would like to share with you some of my greater visions, particularly those that have to do with the future of the planet and of mankind. (Please also read my Earth Matters Page on that topic!) As you can probably guess, not all of these visions are pleasant. You might call some of them scary, but they aren't negative, they always show solutions on how to avoid disaster.
I believe the spirits of the sacred plants are calling us all to preserve our planet.

Visions are very private. The only reason I am sharing them now is because they all carry very strong messages for mankind to wake up and change our ways before it is too late. I believe we can still avert disaster, if we wake up now and all work together for a future of peace and prosperity, of living in harmony with nature, in a sustainable way, without exploiting our resources and polluting the planet. In my visions the spirits of the plants speak to me and tell me to pass the message on to as many people as possible.
And this is what I am doing now.
